Predictive Factors of Difficult Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

Background: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is considered the gold standard treatment of symptomatic cholelithiasis, preoperative prediction difficult surgery an important aspect planning laparoscopic surgery. Objective: The purpose this prospective study to evaluate, analyze, and document different predictive factors whether conversion rate open complications can be minimized during cholecystectomy. Patients Methods: This a clinical done on 100 patients complaining calcular cholecystitis admitted having (LC) at Department Surgery Faculty Medicine Al-Azhar University Hospital in Assiut Al-Arish General from May 2018 January 2020. Results: Univariate analysis pre-operative risk versus operative data variables showed that male gender was associated with prolonged time. Age above 45 years dissection time, GB bed BMI 30 or more Palpable extraction increased for Distended ultrasound Solitary stone Conclusion: Pre-operative help predict LC. information may useful both patient treating surgeon. Prediction procedure would allow surgeon discuss likelihood prepare him/her psychologically as well their recovery explaining absence work.
